What if Paul’s right, and all we see/know/understand and can discover are only, at best, blurry, dim views of reality? What if, Hubble and electron telescopes notwithstanding, we only see and understand partially, dimly?
To test this theory, I went around my kitchen and took some shots with my 135mm lens, all out of focus. I processed a few of them, but left most of them untouched.
Herewith are objects in my kitchen, which represent, variously: the universe, your best friend, superstrings, the vibrating edges of parallel universes, and a beautiful fall day in Vermont, all as we see them now.
(Scroll over the pics to see what they really are.)
